Spring Fever
I've got it! Spring fever is out in full force at the McClurg house. I would love nothing better than to be able to leave the windows open and let in the cool mountain air all day. But, that dang snow on the ground makes the air a little too chilly to leave them open too long. It's supposed to be in the 50's today, which is warm to me!!! Hopefully it will melt the snow and help melt away the crabbiness that I've had for the last two months. I counting on the spring to lighten my mood, brighten my home and bring nothing but good for Ben and the entire jobsite. Hopefully we can put the long hard winter behind us and start moving forward in a positive way.

Confused for the Holidays
So I find myself sitting here this week and wondering what on earth we're going to do for the holidays this year. As much as I love it in Colorado, I can't help but want to be home for Christmas.
For those of you who don't know, Ben is getting us a dog and we should be able to pick him up on Dec. 27th. This throws a kink in our Christmas plans because we need to decide very quickly whether we're staying here or going home. If we go to Utah, we'd have to leave the day after to get the puppy. If we stay, we miss out on spending time with our families, which is my favorite part of Christmas. Our other option is to go to Utah, and have Ben fly back to pick up the puppy and then catch a flight back to Salt Lake with our newest member.
For any normal person, this would not be an issue, but for the world's most indecisive person, its a big deal.
If anyone has any brilliant suggestions, let me know.

July in Colorado
July has come and gone and it was a very busy month. Along with the holidays, we also had Ben and Landon's birthdays. We celebrated Ben's up in the mountains. It was a quiet birthday, but Ben was where he is happiest.
Landon had all of his friends over and had pizza, cake and ice cream. It was anything but quiet! He had a lot of fun and there were enough kids here that it felt like being home in Utah:)
Here a just a few pictures from the month!

This was the view from our tent door. It was nice to wake up and to be able to look out over the whole area.
Our tent was nestled under a bunch of trees and right up next to this huge boulder. It stayed nice and warm at night.
The Day after!!
Landon got sidewalk paint from his friends Carter, Audrey and Lydia. They came over the next day to help him play with it. And as I was told by a neighbor afterwards, it looked like Nickelodeon blew up on my sidewalk!
Girls Night!
I don't know what I would do without amazing friends! They always seem to be there when you need them the most.
Independence Pass, 12,095 ft.
This is the only picure we got with the kids. They got too cold and wanted to get back in the van!
This is Ben and I in front of Twin Lakes, CO. It was so beautiful here. The water was so blue and pristine.
Did you say Dinosaurs???
We went to the dinosaur park with my mom, Liz, and her kids, and boy did we have fun. Adam is a HUGE dinosaur fan and this was like heaven to him. The only time he didn't have fun was when he saw the robotic dinosaur. It kinda freaked him out!
Brett was such a good boy. He didn't get to run around with the other kids, but he sure had fun watching!!
Don't sit on me!!!
The kids( and yes, it was totally the kids) thought it would make a cute picture if we tried to stop the dinosaur from sitting on us!
All in all, we had so much fun. The kids ask me all the time when they can go back to the Dinosaur Park. I definately think that next time we're in Utah, that will be one of our stops! We'll just have to bring Ben next time to protect us!
Snow Days
These pictures are from when we took the kids sledding behind a snowmobile. They had so much fun. Good thing they like snow:)

I am completely in a spring cleaning mode... especially with us moving in a few weeks. I feel like I always want to be organizing, and getting things in order. I love having the windows open!
